PAST PRESIDENT

Corporate Enrollment Liaison, Retired
“I joined the board of United Way of the Tanana Valley after I participated in the Allocation process. The partner agencies presented information about the impact of their work, and I was deeply moved and frankly astounded by the many important issues they address in our community. From providing Meals on Wheels for seniors, assisting and teaching young parents the ins and outs of parenthood, feeding and housing the homeless, to contributing to our community‘s literacy, providing adult mentors to children, serving Alaskans with disabilities and so much more. I love the United Way and care about the difference we and our partner agencies make for our neighbors!”

KATRINA ERICK
VICE PRESIDENT
Doyon Foundation
Vice President
I joined the United Way board because the mission matters to my community. This vital support allows nonprofits to continue serving the most vulnerable in the Golden Heart City through meaningful programs, rather than spending time and resources chasing funds. I've seen firsthand the impact the United Way has had on our community, and I want to do my part to help their mission of mobilizing the caring power of our community for another 70 years.

I've been a longtime United Way donor and have led multiple workplace giving campaigns at the University of Alaska Fairbanks because I believe local philanthropy creates lasting change in our community. Joining the Board was an opportunity to support an organization whose mission aligns with my values and to contribute my experience in leadership, human resources, and organizational operations. I'm passionate about helping organizations build strong foundations so they can continue serving people well.
